Commercial TV broadcast stations and
Class A TV broadcast stations are both require to file FCC Form
398. Form 398 is a standardized form that provides for consistent
reporting by all licensees and facilitates efforts by the public
and FCC to monitor compliance with the Children's TV Act. On
September 26, 2006 the Commission adopted an Order on
Reconsideration and Second Report and Order adopting the rules as
proposed in the Commission's March 17, 2006 2nd Further Notice of
Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM), MM Docket 00-167. The Order is
attached for OMB records/files. The Commission received OMB
approval for this collection of information/FCC Form 398 at the
FNPRM stage. There were not changes from the FNPRM to the final
rules.
