MMS uses the information to evaluate and approve or disapprove the adequacy of equipment and/or procedures to be used during the conduct of well-workover operations. This is necessary to prevent the hazards inherent in well-workover operations and to increase the margin of safety of personnel and the environment. Respondents are Federal OCS oil and gas or sulphur lessees and operators.
