Beginning in August 2006, SSA will conduct redeterminations for those Medicare beneficiaries who receive the Medicare Part D subsidy, as mandated by the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. Redeterminations will be conducted for 1) those who are identified by SSA's records as having been deemed eligible in the past 12 months and 2) those who call SSA to report a life-changing event that could impact their subsidy. The respondents are Medicare beneficiaries who are receiving Medicare Part D subsidies.
