Abstract: The MPPP is a mechanism used by lending institutions, Mortgage Servicing companies, and others servicing mortgage loan portfolio to bring their mortgage loan portfolios into compliance with the flood insurance purchase requirements under the National Flood Insurance Program. The MPPP results in mortgagors, following receipt of notification, of the most need for flood insuance, showing evidence of such a policy or purchasing coverage through their local insurance agent or WYO.
