Abstract: The collection of information in this proposed regulation is in section 26.2642-6(b)(5). This information is required by the IRS for qualified severances. This information will be used to identify the trusts being severed and the new trusts created upon severance. The collection of information is required in order to have a qualified severance. The likely respondents are individuals contributing to trusts that have skip persons as beneficiaries.
