The Weatherization Assistance Program
(WAP) increases the energy efficiency of dwellings occupied by Low
Income Americans to reduce their energy costs while safeguarding
their health and safety. DOE works directly with States, District
of Columbia, and Native American Tribal Government to carry out
these goals.
The WAP is amended to include
the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Navajo Nation, Northern
Arapaho and the five (5) territories in FY 09. The hours of burden
for the forms is estimated to be three (3) hours. The number of
respondents is fifty nine (59) state and territories.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
