The information collected will be used
by FRA to carry out a Congressional mandate, and will enable the
agency to determine whether it is appropriate to provide financial
assistance to State and local governments looking to undertake
either rail line relocation or rail line improvement
projects.
This is a new collection of
information. Therefore, there are no program changes or adjustments
to account for at this time. (Please note: Per the Notice of
Action, the Federal Register version of the NPRM is now attached.
Also, please note, this ICR was submitted (as all FRA ICRs are)on
time, specifically on January 17, 2007, as the ROCIS system will
readily confirm. The Office of the DOT CIO did not transmit this
ICR until three months later despite many FRA requests to do so.
Thanks.)
