Abstract: SSA requires SSI recipients to report their wages monthly. Sheltered workshops perform a service to their clients by reporting monthly wages directly to SSA. This allows SSA to adjust SSI checks timely is that overpayments are prevented. The respondents are sheltered workshops who elect to report wages for clients.
