Abstract: Form 8834 is used to compute an allowable credit for qualified electric vehicles placed in service after June 30, 1993. Section 1913(b) under P.L. 102-1018 created new section 30.

Emergency Justfication: Form 8834 is a dual-use form. The use of the form by individuals is covered under 1545-0074, but the business use of the form covered under 1545-1374 was inadvertenly discontinued. IRS needs reinstatement of this clearance as an emergency review in order to meet its ok-to-print dates.
