The American automobile labeling act
required the Department of Transportation to implement a program
for labeling all new passenger cars and light trucks as to the
countires of origin of their parts.
An increase in the annual
reporting and recordkeeping hour burden from 47,918 to 55,484
because the number of respondents increased from 20 to 22. Also,
there was an increase in to the annual reporting and recordkeeping
cost burden from 2,130,850 to 2,467,300 because there will be more
responses reported.
