Justification for Non-substantial Change Request

JUSTIFICATION

On August 7, 2006 the Commission received OMB approval for a revision to information collection 3060-0647, Supplemental Questions to the Annual Cable Price Survey and approval for the original Cable Price Survey on February 7, 2006. After receiving OMB approval for the survey and supplemental questions, the Commission has determined that editorial changes are needed to the survey and supplemental questions to make the forms clearer and easier to understand by cable operators (the public) without changing the underlying questions on the documents.

Therefore, the Commission is submitting a non-substantial change request to OMB for editorial changes to the Cable Price Survey. The Commission also combined the survey and supplemental questions into one document to simplify the survey document.¹

Lastly, the Commission did not conduct the Annual Cable Price Survey in 2007, and as such, the 2007 and 2008 survey will be sent to operators as one document. Therefore, the Commission recalculate the total annual burden hours for the information collection. We are also submitting information collection 3060-0647 to OMB to correct the total annual burden hours for the information collection. Please see question 12 of the last approved supporting statement by OMB which has been updated to reflect the revised calculation to the annual burden hours.
