The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is submitting this non-substantive change request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to update FCC Form 333, the Cable Price Survey (see justification for details). A Congressional statute requires the Commission to publish a biennial statistical report on cable industry prices on the average prices for basic service and other programming services, comparing the prices of cable operators subject to effective competition with prices of operators not subject to effective competition. The price survey is intended to collect data needed to prepare this report.
