The purpose of the current submission is to request OMB approval of the second follow-up survey along with the burden required for the in-home assessment protocols that are being proposed for the Building Strong Families 36-month follow-up. Conducting a longitudinal follow-up with the research sample members will enable us to determine whether impacts present at the time of the first follow-up are sustained and whether new impacts emerge over time. Now that the children in the study will be 3 years of age, we propose to collect information on the child's language development, self-regulation, and behavior as well as interaction with their mother and their father.
