  1. Home Page

  1. Initial Verification Page

  1. This is the page you would see if you selected Initial Verification. All the fields marked in red are required. Notice the A or I number is required based upon what Citizenship status is checked.

  1. Initial Verification Confirmation Page

  1. The system asks you to confirm the data you entered before it does the initial verification.

  1. Employment Authorized

  1. SSA Tentative Nonconfirmation

  1. This page shows the results of a request for initial verification. In this case, SSA determined that the SSN submitted was invalid. There are a series of checks they perform to catch invalid or unknown SSNs and mismatches between SSN, names, and birth dates.

  1. Referral Notification Confirmation Page

  1. This page is what you would see if you decided to refer this person who provided an invalid SSN to SSA.

  1. Initiate SSA Resubmittal

  1. You get this page after you record the referral date.

  1. DHS Verification in Process

  1. This page shows the system response after you click “Submit Additional Verification” request. The status message is telling you DHS Verification (ISV) is in process. This request is communicated immediately through the VIS integrated database to the ISV, unlike the legacy ASVI system that relied on scheduled file transfers.

  1. DHS Tentative Nonconfirmation

  1. Employment Authorization

  1. Sample of iinitial verification request that resulted in employment authorized. This occurred because SSN check initiated by CPS resulted in Employment Authorized status from SSA. You can still request additional verification if you want to.

  1. Case Resolution

  1. This is the screen I would get if I clicked on “Resolve” because I decided to resolve this case instead of doing an SSA referral.

  1. View Cases Screen

  1. This is the Case Searach screen that you would see if you select “View Cases” from the menu. This facility allows you to find all open cases, cases requiring action, cases in process, and resolved cases. If you are a program administrator, you will see all cases for all users in the company.
