The increase in response burden for the requested extension compared to the generic clearance currently approved is due to: an increase (of 7 percent) in the number of investigations for which it is anticipated questionnaires will be issued on an annual basis during the next three years; an increase in the average burden per questionnaire, not including the additional burden for any industry-wide supplemental follow-ups (1 hour more per questionnaire); and an increase in the number of foreign producer questionnaire responses (from 14.8 firms per investigation to 20 firms per investigation); and the addition of burden in the requested extension for any industry-wide supplemental follow-ups representing an increase of 5 percent per questionnaire. These increases are off-set in part by a calculated decline in the number of responding producers per questionnaire. Finally, the change in total burden cost tracks the increase in reporting burden identified above. The change in total burden cost is overstated since it had not previously been entered.
