The Child Nutrition Database is
designed to be incorporated into approved nutrition analysis
software and provide an accurate source of nutrient data, allowing
schools to analyze the meals served and measure
compliance.

There is a reduction of 60
burden hours. This reduction results from a decrease in the number
of submissions with incomplete data as part of the functionality of
the new electronic format of Form FNS-710. The electronic format
form FNS-710 in the CN Database does not allow users to submit
incomplete forms. Additionally, respondents take more time to
submit new product information than they need when submitting
updates to existing product information, reducing the overall
burden of hours. The number of respondents and total annual
response has also decreased. FNS will discontinue Form FNS-709, CN
Database Report: Products Missing Nutrient Information because it
has been combined with the FNS-710 form.
