This project continues the state-based surveillance system which describes the impact of the hazardous emergencies on the public's health. This information is used to examine the distribution of hazardous substances emergencies, describe the type and cause of morbidity and mortality of those affected, and develop strategies to reduce subsequent morbidity and mortality.
