Abstract: VAWA 2000 authorized the Attorney General to make grants to local jurisdictions in rural states to address the needs of law enforcement, prosecution agencies, the courts and nonprofit, nongovernmental victim services agencies that respond to domestic violence, dating violence and child abuse cases.
