OMB 83-CExplanation for Change

1820-0572 is an online information collection into which grantees report data on their activities. A portion of this data is used to calculate the performance measures required of these same grantees under Attachment 4 of 1820-0664 (State Plan for Assistive Technology).

The Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) has proposed the development of an online version of Attachment 4 of 1820-0664 (an 83-C related to this change also has been submitted). The data from 1820-0572 can be transferred automatically into this online Attachment 4 of 1820-0664, reducing burden on grantees under 1820-0664 without requiring any additional burden under 1820-0572. All data needed for 1820-0664 already is included in 1820-0572 as approved.

RSA is proposing that the online version of Attachment 4 be located adjacent to the web page for the online 1820-0572. This would enable States to complete Attachment 4 online right after entering their raw data without having to log out of the system and log onto a new web page. The content of 1820-0572 will not be changed, nor will new or different information be collected. The only difference will be an additional link on the 1820-0572 website that will take grantees to the online 1820-0664. Therefore, there is no change in burden, just a change in the website for 1820-0572 in order to connect it with 1820-0664.
