provide information to fire managers of Federal agencies assigned
wildland-fire protection responsibilities, allowing these managers
to develop fuels reduction treatment programs acceptable to
residential communities. There is a need to understand what
residential communities know about such programs and the extent
these communities support fuels reduction programs.
