All importers of Canadian softwood lumber will need a license prior to completing customs entry documentation upon import. The license will be available online and automatically generated from a Department of Commerce website with a fax option.
This emergency is requested because ITA/Office of Import Administration has to begin the licensing process for Canadian softwood lumber in order to monitor compliance of the Softwood Lumber Agreement 2006.
