The Internal Revenue Service is suspending certain requirements under § 42 of the Internal Revenue Code for low-income housing credit projects in the United States to provide emergency housing relief needed as a result of the devastation caused by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding in Wisconsin beginning on June 5, 2008.
The notice is effective June 14, 2008, the date of the PresidentÂs major disaster declarations as a result of the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding in Wisconsin beginning on June 5, 2008. Displaced and homeless individuals, property owners, and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Agency urgently need the guidance in this notice.
