This information collection supports the MSPB's study on Federal Telework. Telework provides a variety of benefits and, like any relatively new flexibility, can also present challenges for the employee and the organization. It is important to study these types of flexibilities, especially as they relate to the effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce. The primary collection tool will be a survey of Federal employees and supervisors. The MSPB survey on Federal Telework asks about the participants experiences and perceptions regarding telework. In addition, the survey asks about issues related to telework such as the participantÂs job, organization, relationships with supervisor and colleagues, performance management, career plans and work-life balance. The survey results and recommendations will be reported to the President, Congress, policymakers, agency leaders, and the public. The report will serve as a stimulus for discussion and improvements in the effectiveness of Federal Telework programs.
