Participants in the
federally-regulated fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the
South Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean are required to
obtain federal permits under the existing permit program for the
specific Fishery Management Plans of each region. National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration, National Marine Fisheries Service
(NOAA Fisheries Service) needs information from the applications
and associated data collections to identify fishing
vessels/dealers/ participants, properly manage the fisheries, and
generate fishery-specific data. New items: document providing
complete owner list, if not listed on state registration, and
provision of existing permit numbers, on the permit form for
fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone.
