Owners or operators who construct or reconstruct major sources of hazardous air pollutants must apply for a case-by-case control determination under CAA section 112(g). State or local agencies will review applications submitted by sources, and determine the required of control. The EPA will review a percentage of the determinations in order to provide oversight.
