47 CFR Part 52, Subpart C implements
the statutory requirement that LECs and CMRS providers provide
local number probability (LNP). This collection is revised to
include the implementation of wireless carriers providing LNP.
Wireless carriers began providing LNP on November 24, 2003.
Intermodal portability, porting between wireline and wireless
carriers, also began on November 24, 2003.
The total annual burden for
this IC has decreased by 8,483 hours for a new total annual burden
of 5,850 hours. The decrease is due to an adjustment of the tariff
and cost support estimate. In the 2005 OMB submission, the FCC
estimated that it would take approximately 149 hours for the
estimated time per response. We have reduced that estimate to 50
hours per response. Thus, the total annual burden was reduced. The
Commission is also reporting a reduction of respondents for tariffs
and cost support from 67 to 30 in this submission. Overall, the
total number of respondents have been reduced from 2,027 to 1,990.
Finally, the annual cost burden increased due to an increase in the
filing fee per tariff from $720 in 2005 to $775 which is now being
reported.
