Dear Farmer or Rancher:

According to our records, we still have not received your Census Organic Production Survey report form. Your response is important, because it will help show the nation the importance of organic production to U.S. agriculture and will provide your community with valuable information as it identifies economic opportunities.

As a reminder, your response is required by Federal law (Title 7, United States Code). The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is required under that same law to keep your individual answers completely confidential.

Complete and return your report form within the next 10 days. Farm and ranch organizations and representatives rely on these facts to make decisions that affect you and others involved in agriculture. We need a completed report from every person receiving this form. Whether you’re a large or small farm, it’s your future, your voice, your responsibility.
