Short Statement: As of December 1, 2008, the final rule for 30 CFR 250 became effective (73 FR 64541, October 30, 2008).The rule collection (1010-0168, expiration October 31, 2011) consists of burden hours relating to 30 CFR 250 subparts A, I, and J (50,287 total hours).The MMS is, therefore, consolidating the burden hours (48,673) for 30 CFR 250, subpart I, into the primary collection for subpart I--OMB Control Number 1010-0149 (expiration June 30, 2011).The remaining 1,614 hours are being consolidated into their respective subparts, subpart A, 1010-0114 (expiration November 30, 2010) and J, 1010-0050 (expiration March 3l, 2009). After OMB approves the consolidations, MMS will discontinue 1010-0168.
