explosive detection and security sweeps
Contracted Security Officer functions at the Navy Annex and leased facilities
Law Enforcement response to crimes and emergency incidents reported at Washington Headquarters Services (WHS)
managed facilities
Criminal investigations of offenses occurring in WHS-managed facilities
Protective service support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense
CBRN Monitoring and Response: Monitoring and protecting against threats, the issuance of escape masks and
employee training
Vulnerability, criticality and risk assessments of WHS-managed facilities, contingency planning and dissemination of
threat information
Antiterrorism Level I briefings and training; Facilitate working group meetings.
Parking Management: Issue parking permits for privately owned vehicles on the Pentagon Reservation
Pentagon Access Control: Issue building passes and Common Access Cards for the Pentagon Reservation and DoD
buildings
Remote Delivery Facility Services: Inspect and secure incoming delivery vehicles and materials for the Pentagon
Reservation
Physical Security: Advise and assist regarding measures to protect office facilities and installation of all alarms/Closed
Circuit TV systems in OSD
Information Security: Advise and assist regarding policy and operating procedures governing the protection of
National Security information in OSD
Industrial Security: Advise and assist regarding policy and operating procedures governing the protection of National

Technical Security: Conduct Technical Security Countermeasures reviews of OSD offices
Communications Security: Provide secure communications equipment and keying material
Lock Shop Services: Install and repair of door and combination locks
