The Fish and Wildlife Service uses the information collected to administer a light goose Conservation Order. The Conservation Order allows States to reduce the number of light geese, which have become overabundant and are damaging arctic habitat.
We are reporting 39 responses totaling 2,886 burden hours for this information collection, which is an increase of 15 responses and 1,110 burden hours. This increase is a program change associated with a change in the regulations that makes more States eligible to participate in the conservation order.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
