Abstract: The FR 2644 report provides weekly balance sheet information on domestically chartered commercial banks and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks. The Federal Reserve uses this data to construct weekly estimates of bank credit, balance sheet data for the U.S. banking industry, sources and uses of banks’ funds, and to analyze banking developments.

Short Statement: The annual burden for the proposed FR 2644 would be 120,575 hours, an increase of 2,977 hours. The authorized panel size for the proposed FR 2644 would be 875, a decrease of 345 respondents. For FR 2644 reporters, there would be an increase of 13 data items. For FR 2416 reporters, there would be a decrease of 10 data items. For FR 2069 reporters, there would be an increase of 8 data items. For the proposed FR 2644, the Federal Reserve revised the methodology for determining the estimated average hours per response based on the weighted average of data items submitted with values greater than zero.
