The FR 2644 report provides weekly balance sheet information on domestically chartered commercial banks and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks. The Federal Reserve uses this data to construct weekly estimates of bank credit, balance sheet data for the U.S. banking industry, sources and uses of banks’ funds, and to analyze banking developments.
