The Fish and Wildlife Service will use the information collected on eagle take permit applications (FWS Forms 3-200-71 and 3-200-72) to: (1) evaluate applications, (2) issue or deny permits based on the evaluation criteria in 50 CFR 22.26(e) and 22.27(d), and (3) assess the potential cumulative impacts of such permits for purposes of adaptive management. We will use the information from the reports to: (1) determine if the conservation strategies are reaching the intended biological goals, (2) develop improved management strategies for covered species, and (3) evaluate the success of the permit program.
