Requirements for underground coal mine operators to have in a fireproof repository on site,an accurate and up-to-date map of such mine. Mine operators are also required to file with MSHA maps of permanently closed, temporarily closed, and abandoned underground coal mines. Maps are retained in a repository and are made available to mine operators of adjacent properties.
