SUBJECT : Request for OMB Approval of the Package for the Child Care Access
Means Parents in School Program Annual Performance Report Form (OMB 1840-0763)
The Office of Postsecondary Education requests that you submit for Departmental and OMB approval, the annual performance report form for the Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) Program. The performance report form will be used to collect data annually as required by the program legislation. The current CCAMPIS Program 18-month and 36-month performance report form does not expire until April 30, 2009. However, based upon concerns relating to the interpretation and the presentation of data, as well as comments from CCAMPIS project directors, we are seeking approval of a revised form that is easier for grantees to complete and that collects data more appropriate to the program. Additionally, the CCAMPIS performance report period has been changed from an 18-month and 36-month requirement to reporting annually as required by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA), which amends and reauthorizes the Higher Education Act of 1965.
The revised form will also provide data that is more for assessing and reporting on results under the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA).
The attached Form OMB 83-1 and supporting documents are being submitted as required.
