USDA-NASS collects monthly data on peanut stocks and usage to be published in the Peanut Stocks and Processing report. Accurate response to this survey is required by law (Title 7 Chapter 32, U.S. Code). This same law protects the confidentiality of your report, in that the information furnished under the provision of this chapter shall be used only for the statistical purposes for which it is supplied. No publication shall be made whereby the data furnished by any person can be identified nor shall anyone other than sworn employees of the Department of Agriculture examine individual reports. • If your firm is not a buying point, report all stocks of peanuts on your premises, domestic and imports, regardless of ownership. Do not report peanuts owned by you but stored by others, because these stocks will be reported by those storing them.
