OSM is consolidating the collection requirements of 30 CFR Parts 779 and 783 into one collection, 1029-0035. Upon OMB approval, OSM will discontinue the collection authority for 1029-0038. The 3,115 responses are comprised of the 314 applications with multiple sections submitted and the appropriate reviews by the 24 State regulatory authorities. The increase in burden hours is due, in part, to a program change associated with combining the two collections.
