Project Details

1. Project Description: A description of the project – its location, purpose, scope, and intended use.

2. Project Status and Development Steps: Describe the status of the project and key issues and barriers that were or remain to be addressed while developing and implementing this project, along with the reasoning behind important design choices.

3. Project Financing: How is this project financed? What are the anticipated payback periods and revenue projections?

4. Project Size: Relevant information about the size of the project including acres of land, enclosed square feet, energy generation capacity, scale of investment, etc. Points in DOE scoring: 15

5. Technologies Utilized: For renewable projects, include details about size and manufacture of renewable technologies. Discuss any relevant feedstock, orientation, and mounting devices. Provide details on capacity of each technology along with real or anticipated energy delivery.

For energy efficiency projects, include details about design elements and technology used (or to be used). Provide specifics in regard to R-value and SEER ratings. Confirm compliance with American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) specifications. Provide an estimate of the project’s energy savings over local codes and standards. Points in DOE scoring: 20

6. Innovation: What about this project is innovative? What new technologies, applications, or approaches does this project use? Points in DOE scoring: 20

7. Community Benefit: Discuss how this project directly benefits the local community. Points in DOE scoring: 10

8. Replicability: Discuss how this project (or the energy-efficient, renewable energy, or financing aspects of it) could be replicated by similar organizations. Provide details on any plans your organization has to replicate this project or elements of it. Points in DOE scoring: 25

9. Public Education Activities: Discuss any efforts (or planned efforts) to create public awareness of the energy-efficient or renewable energy features of the project. Points in DOE scoring: 10

This data is being collected in order to comply with Section 1405 of EPACT 2005. The data you supply will be used for determining selection for National Priority Project Designation by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Public reporting burden for this collection of information is estimated to average 20 hours per response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing and reviewing the collection of information.
