INTERVIEWER SCRIPT FOR CALENDAR
INTERVIEWER: I am interested in the crimes that you may have experienced in the last 12
months, that is, since [MONTH 1-REFERENCE PERIOD START]. It might be difficult to
remember things that happened as long as a year ago. Sometimes people find it helpful to think
about a calendar to remember what happened and when it happened. Let’s note some dates on
the calendar that may help you remember things. For example, looking back 12 months ago,
there was…

FOR EXAMPLE, IN JUNE, START WITH FOURTH OF JULY AND END WITH

Now let’s put some things that are specific to you on the calendar. What are some the things that

While you tell me about the things that happened this past year, I am going to take notes on a
