The change in burden hours is an ADJUSTMENT. There is no proposed change to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of this collection. The reporting and recordkeeping requirements and the methodology for calculation burden remain unchanged.
The following listed below are revisions to the collection:
Increase in burden (respondents/responses/burden hours) is due to an increase in the number of respondents from 3,369 to 5,095, which results in an increase in responses and burden.
Inclusion of a new collection instrument, CG-3752A. Form CG-3752A, titled “APPLICATION FOR INSPECTION OF U.S. VESSEL (NEW CONSTRUCTION),” will be used in place of form CG-3752 specifically for a vessel under construction. The new form will allow us to better facilitate the inspection of a new vessel. Form CG-3752 will continue to be used for existing vessel inspection requests. As both forms collect similar information, the shift from one form to another is burden neutral.
