APHIS is clarifying its restrictions
on the importation of bird and poultry products from regions where
HPAI is considered to exist.
APHIS is requesting
emergency review, processing, and approval of an informational
collection activity in support of an interim rule that will amend
title 9, Code of the Federal Regulations, Parts 93, 94, and 95. The
Interim rule will clarify our restrictions on the importation of
bird and poultry products from regions where highly pathogenic
avian influenza (HPAI) subtype H5N1 is considered to exist and
prohibit or restrict the importation of bird and poultry products
from regions where other subtypes of HPAI are considered to
exist.
