The EID Checklist obtains information that is required to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as specified under Section 1609 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. HRSA will use this information along with the overall application to determine eligibility for agency awards.
This information collection request is for applicant information that provides assurance of compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act for recipients of federal funds under Section 1609 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Emergency processing is needed for the Environmental Information and Documentation because of the critical timing of the application announcement for grantees requesting ARRA funds. The program application for these funds must be made available as soon as possible in order to allow 30 days for grantees to prepare the application materials, which are due on/around June 1, 2009, and to make awards 30 days following.
