The
Common Fund Early Independence Award (EIA) program is requesting
input from the scientific community to help identify crucial needs,
gaps, and barriers in the application and review process. The
questions are intended to assess satisfaction levels with various
components of the program, and the responses are expected to reveal
gaps and highlight opportunities for enhancement. The
information collected will increase our
understanding of the levels of community satisfaction with each EIA
component, which will
aid in identifying specific, achievable goals to enhance the
program. Input from officials of host institutions is vital to
address unique
challenges for the program. The proposed questions will generate
knowledge, which will be used to improve the program and the
development of future initiatives.
