This collection of information
implements RUS policies and procedures for settlement of debt owed
by electric borrowers. This collection requires only information
essential for determining the need for debt settlement; the amount
of relief needed; amount of debt that can be repaid; scheduling of
repayment; and, opportunities for enhancing the amount of debt that
can be recovered.
The -1,000 decrease in burden
hours is estimated because of the size and scope of operations of
the financially troubled borrower. The borrower is a small
stand-alone community with limited generation assets and sales
opportunities. Any restructuring effort will not have to involve
negotiations with other creditors or include extensive analysis on
the sale of excess energy to non-members.
