The information collections assigned to this OMB Control No. are necessary for EDA to effectively administer the Trade Adjustment Assistance for Firms program as authorized under chapters 3 and 5 of title II of the Trade Act of 1974.
EDA requires emergency approval of the revision of its existing information collection forms to publish the regulatory changes promulgated in accordance with the TGAAA. Under these new regulations, EDA revised the definition of an applicant under the TAAF Program to include service sector firms and created the new CTAA Program (administered under OMB Control No. 0610-0094).
