In proposed rule 0648-AS25, federally permitted fishing vessels participating in the Tilefish individual fishing quota (IFQ) fishery in the Northeast Region of the U.S. would be subject to certain information collection requirements in order for NMFS to manage the fishery in accordance with the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act. This rule would also institute a Charter/Party Permit within the tilefish FMP. This permit would have reporting requirements that would capture recreational fishery data.
