The statutorily required information is requested to compute payments due to counties and similar units of general local government under the PILT Act (31 USC 6901-6907). The Act requires that the Governor of each state furnish a statement as to the amounts paid to these counties or similar units of general local government under 12 receipt-sharing statutes in the prior fiscal year.
The estimated burden has increased because of an adjustment due to a revised estimate provided by the respondents for the time required to complete the information collection, from 50 to 75 average estimated hours.
