To determine whether the messages, strategies, and information services developed by the NIAID HIV Vaccine Research Education Initiative (NHVREI) were successful, this evaluation will assess the impact of NHVREI on awareness of, knowledge about, and support for HIV vaccine research among key influencers and organizations that work with NHVREI target populations - Blacks/African Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, and gay/men who have sex with men of all racial and ethnic groups, with an appropriate focus on women and youth within these populations. Respondents include key influencers of these populations, health professionals, and organizations/groups that interface with these publics.
