ABSTRACT:

CSR is developing online reviewers and applicant satisfaction surveys to be fielded prior to the third stage of review for the new Transformative R01 (T-R01) program. This funding opportunity has been specifically created under the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research to support exceptionally innovative, high risk, original and/or unconventional research projects that have the potential to profoundly impact a broad area of biomedical or behavioral research. These online surveys will collect constituency/customer opinions regarding the some of the novel peer review approaches being used for T-R01 such as an abbreviated application and a new multi-tiered review procedure for evaluating applications.
