Abstract: Form Ds-1884 is completed by aliens who have already been recommended by the Principal Officer of an embassy or consultate and approved by the Secretary of State for special immigrant status under INA Secton 101(a)(27)(D). The information requested on the form is limited to that which is necessary for consular officers to determine efficiently the eligibility of aliens seeking immigrant visas under Secton 203(b)(4) of the INA. A consular officer is unable to approve such visas without collecting this information
