National banks file Call Reports
pursuant to 12 U.S.C. 161 and other statutes. The data are used to
evaluate and monitor the financial condition and earnings
performance of individual banks as well as the entire banking
industry. This submission involves the changes to the Call Report
to be implemented in 2010.
The changes proposed for 2010
would increase the burden for respondents by 2.07 hours per
response due to new items being added to the Call Report. However,
the decrease in number of national banks by 77 caused an overall
reduction of burden of 1,643 burden hours.
